That Darn Squid God
This book looks like a must read:
…and moon is slowly revolving to reveal it’s darkly hidden face. Soon Prof. Einstein and Lord Carstairs find themselves pursued by disciples of the Squid God. They fight a desperate battle to save the world before the time of the demon god’s return. However, while the adventurers are away, who will save London from the rampaging “squiddies”?

Okay folks, bad news. Apparently, Amazon.com has gone mad again, and has accidentally (and incorrectly) raised the cover price on the new hardback edition of “That Darn Squid God” from $24.95, to the quite bizarre $55.01.
They have been informed of this by the publisher, my agent, my lawyer, SFWA, and me, yet they refuse to admit that this is a problem.
But even worse, people are still buying the book on Amazon.
Please stop that!
Go buy my novel from Wildside Press (the publisher) at the normal price, or from a specialty SF bookstore, or from any of hundreds of online e-stores that carry my stuff.
Or, if you’re in Europe, buy it from Amazon.co.uk. Those noble stalwarts have the right price up, and always have. They even have the new covers for the reissue of my “Bureau 13″ trilogy away ahead of anybody else. God bless the Brits!
Best wishes,

Thanks for that info Nick. I’ll try to track the book down somewhere here in Australia.

Good news, Amazon.com here in the United States has finally pulled its head out of the sand, and fixed the price. Whew! Took ‘em long enough.

I bought this book after seeing it mentioned here, and I’m currently reading it. It’s an absolute gas. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a “humorous” book that’s actually made me laugh out loud… but this one has, more than once.
What a joy to read! I have to read tons and tons of stuff for my classes, but my “reading time” before I go to sleep is strictly pleasure reading only. This book has been taking that time for the past several days, and I’ve actually been forcing myself to *stop* reading some nights, because I don’t want to finish it too quickly.
Thanks so much for the recommendation!

And I apologize for sloppy spelling mistakes! Ugh!
